Shuttle 15 min

Airside shuttle runs between T1–T4 in about 15 minutes

The Terminal Transfer Shuttle moves passengers between T1, T2, T3 and T4 without sending you landside, and the full loop usually takes around 15 minutes end to end. It’s meant for airside connections, so you stay within secure zones instead of exiting to the public pick-up area and re-clearing security.

Shuttles run every 20 minutes from 06:00 to 22:00, then every 30 minutes overnight from 22:00 to 06:00, covering the whole 24-hour window. If your connection involves a late-night switch between, say, T1 and T3, this timing keeps you moving without having to wait for first-morning buses or pay for a short rideshare hop.

Typical transfer time between adjacent terminals like T1–T2 or T3–T4 is under 10 minutes, but the service advertises about 15 minutes to allow for stops. When you factor in boarding and a short wait, budget 25–30 minutes total if you’re moving from T1/T2 to T3/T4 or the other way around.

The shuttle is free for ticketed passengers holding same-day itineraries that require movement between T1, T2, T3 and T4, so you don’t tap a SmartRider card or pay a fare on board. It is intended for connecting traffic, not for city access, and keeps you on the airport side rather than dropping you at Tonkin Highway or local bus stops.

There’s no fixed seat reservation on the Terminal Transfer Shuttle, and the buses used typically handle a full narrow-body flight’s worth of people without issue. Loads thin out sharply after about 21:00, and the 30-minute night frequency from 22:00 to 06:00 is usually enough to avoid standing room crushes.

Practical tip: if you land in T1 or T2 with a tight connection in T3 or T4, head straight for the airside shuttle signs before stopping for food, and treat the 20-minute daytime frequency like a tram schedule you don’t want to just miss.
