Subway

T1

T1’s Subway is your 24/7 known-quantity sandwich stop

Right inside Terminal T1 after security, Subway is the safest bet at Perth Airport when it’s late, you’re tired, and you just want something predictable. The full counter runs the standard menu: 6-inch and footlong subs, wraps, and salads, with prices usually around AUD $8–$10 for a 6-inch and $12–$15 for a footlong, depending on fillings and extras.

Most people stick to the classics: Italian B.M.T., Meatball, or Chicken Teriyaki on 6-inch white or multigrain, plus a drink combo. You’ll find the usual cookie lineup at the counter, typically around $2 each or a little less in a 3-pack. It’s all assembly-line fast, so even with a small queue of 4–5 people, you’re generally in and out in under 10 minutes.

Seating is basic food-court style in T1, a short walk from multiple international gates, so you can easily carry your sub back to the waiting area by your actual gate. Veggie Delite and salads cover the plant-based side, and staff will usually run through the standard toppings list: lettuce, tomato, cucumber, pickles, olives, jalapeños, plus sauces like Southwest, mayo, and BBQ. Expect drinks in the $4–$6 range for bottled soft drinks or water.

There’s no real “hack” here, but if you care about freshness, ask what bread just came out of the oven and build your sub around that. At busy afternoon banks around international departures, lines can spike close to 10–15 people, especially before flights to Asia and the Middle East. If your boarding pass says T1 and you want Subway without stress, grab food at least 45 minutes before departure so you’re not juggling a footlong during final call.
