Grill'd

T1

T1’s Grill’d sits landside near the international check-in counters

In Perth Airport’s T1, Grill’d is on the landside concourse before security, handy if you’re meeting someone or have time before passport control. It runs typical daytime airport hours, roughly from early morning into late evening, but it’s worth checking the current schedule if you’re on a red-eye. Seating is standard food-court style, so don’t expect table service or power at every seat.

Menu is classic Grill’d: beef, chicken and veggie burgers, chips, and salads, with prices mostly in the AUD $14–$22 range for a burger. You’ll see usual suspects like the “Simply Grill’d” beef burger and “Simon Says” chicken burger, plus sweet potato chips that often outsell the regular fries. Portions are decent by airport standards, so one burger and a shared chips can easily cover two lighter appetites.

Drinks run from soft drink and juice to basic beers, with tap options rotating a bit but usually including at least one local WA brew. Expect airport pricing: a bottled soft drink around $4–$5 and beer in the $9–$12 band. There’s no deep cocktail list here, just quick-service pours that match the burger focus. If you need a proper flat white, T1 has dedicated coffee spots a short walk away on the same level.

Service is counter-order with buzzer pickup, and wait times sit around 10–15 minutes during busy T1 departure waves for flights to Asia and the Middle East. That’s faster than most full-service spots in the terminal, but slower than grabbing a pre-made sandwich from a nearby kiosk. If your boarding pass says doors close 20 minutes before a T1 departure, you want food in hand at least 35–40 minutes before that.

Tip: if you’re connecting airside through T1 and short on time, skip Grill’d this round and aim for something past security; landside backtracking at Perth can easily burn 20 extra minutes.
