Rolld

T1

T1’s Rolld slings rice paper rolls fast enough for tight turns

Gate-side in Terminal T1, Rolld is the Vietnamese stop when you want something lighter than a burger but more filling than a packet of crisps. Everything is already prepped in the cabinet, so even at busy midday banks you’re usually in and out in under 10 minutes. It’s inside security, so you don’t need to factor in extra screening time.

The menu sticks to the usual Rolld setup: rice paper rolls, banh mi, bao, and noodle salads. Expect individual rice paper rolls to run around the $4–$6 mark, with banh mi and salad bowls closer to $10–$15. Portions are decent for an airport grab-and-go, and you can easily build a full meal by pairing two rolls with a salad.

Go for the BBQ pork or lemongrass beef banh mi if you want something you can eat at the gate; they hold up better than the softer rolls during a walk to the far T1 gates. Rice paper rolls work well on shorter flights under 4 hours, but they can get soggy if you leave them sitting in a bag. Ask them to separate the hoisin and chilli sauces so your rolls don’t turn into a mess before boarding.

Drink options sit in the usual airport range: bottled water around $4, soft drinks near $5, and the odd iced tea or juice. If you’re price-sensitive, skip the drinks fridge here and fill a bottle at the T1 fountains near gates in the 50s instead.

Final tip: queues spike right after the morning international departures between 07:00 and 09:00. If you’ve got an early flight, grab your food before going through duty free, then head straight to your gate in T1.
