Open 24/7 in T1, this McDonald's is the airport fallback
Right in Perth International’s T1 departures zone, this McDonald’s sits landside, so you can eat here before security or while waiting on arrivals. It runs 24 hours most days, which makes it one of the few options open for those 02:00 and 05:30 departures. Expect the familiar global menu with some Australian staples like McCafé coffee and the occasional local promo burger.
Pricing is airport-inflated but not outrageous: a basic burger combo usually lands around AUD 12–15, coffee from about AUD 4, and a standard cheeseburger under AUD 5. Portions match what you see at city locations. Card and contactless payment are normal; cash also accepted. It’s a quick way to feed kids without arguing over menus, and you can grab bottled water here cheaper than at some of the nearby convenience kiosks.
Seating is shared with the general T1 food court, so it can get crowded around banked departures, especially in the 06:00–09:00 wave. Service speed swings a lot: a Big Mac and fries can be five minutes at 23:00, or closer to 15 minutes when three wide-body flights to Asia leave within an hour. If you’re tight for time, stick to simple items like fries, McNuggets, or coffee instead of made-to-order burgers.
Breakfast runs until around 10:30, with Egg McMuffins and hash browns the usual go-to. McCafé is worth it if you care about coffee; a flat white or long black here is cheaper than most specialty spots in T1 or T3. Don’t count on finding power outlets at every seat; charge at the nearby gate areas in T1 before you sit down.
Tip: if you’re departing from T3 or T4 and land early, grab McDonald’s in T1 landside first, then hop the terminal transfer, instead of gambling on more limited late-night food options airside.
