T1’s Hudsons Coffee sits landside near international check-in
Hudsons Coffee in Perth Airport’s T1 is on the public side of the terminal, so you can grab a flat white before security or meet arriving passengers with something better than vending-machine coffee. It opens early with the first wave of departures, typically around 4:00–4:30 a.m., and tends to stay open until the last evening flights clear around 11:00 p.m.
Expect standard Aussie café drinks: flat whites, long blacks, cappuccinos and iced coffees, usually in the AUD $5–7 range depending on size and extras. Food runs to muffins, slices, sandwiches and basic hot options like toasted wraps, generally around AUD $7–15. It’s counter service with takeaway cups by default, useful if you’re heading straight to T1 security screening two minutes away.
Seating is limited to a small cluster of tables near the counter in T1, and power points are hit-and-miss, so don’t bank on charging a laptop here before a 6:00 a.m. departure. Turnover is quick, and most people just grab coffee and walk back toward the airline check-in islands for Qantas, Jetstar or international partners using T1.
Service pace depends heavily on departure banks: at the 5:30–7:00 a.m. and 9:00–11:00 p.m. peaks, queues can push 10–15 minutes and mobile coverage around the counter can get patchy with everyone refreshing boarding passes. During mid-day lulls, you can usually get a takeaway latte in under 5 minutes and still be at your T1 gate within another 5–10.
Tip: if your flight leaves from another building such as T2 or T3/T4, factor in the 5–10 minute walk or inter-terminal bus from T1 and drink your coffee on the move rather than sitting at the tables here.
