30 minutes free while you wait near Perth Airport terminals
Park & Wait is the short-term holding area used by Perth Airport drivers doing quick pickups and drop-offs. You get 30 minutes free parking, which is usually enough time to sit tight while a T1, T2, T3 or T4 arrival clears baggage and walks out. It’s built for “call me when you land” plans, not long stays.
This is an outdoor car park with basic facilities, so think short stop, engine off, phone out. It’s signed as Park & Wait on airport approach roads and sits a short drive from all four terminals, roughly a 3–7 minute run depending on which terminal (T1/T2 international and regional vs T3/T4 domestic). Stay under the free 30-minute window and you just drive out; go over and normal short-stay rates apply at the exit.
Because it’s a short-term option, there’s no overnight parking and no long-term security setup like you’d see in the main multi-levels beside T1 and T3. You simply pull into a marked bay, keep your ticket handy, and watch the time. It’s open 24/7 to match early red-eye departures and late-night international arrivals at T1 and T3.
There’s no food or toilets in the Park & Wait area itself, so grab anything you need at home or at the terminals. Mobile coverage is fine, so you can track flights and messages while you sit. Best use case: wait here until your traveller texts that they’re at T1, T2, T3 or T4 pickup, then roll over and use the kerbside lanes for a quick load-up.
Tip: set a timer on your phone for 20–25 minutes when you park so you don’t drift past the free 30-minute limit and get bumped into paid parking on exit.
