Expect shelves of local snacks and sweets under RM10–RM30, plus simple keychains, magnets, and T-shirts with Penang prints. It feels more like a neighborhood tourist shop than a polished duty-free outlet, but that works when you have 15 minutes before boarding and don’t want to walk the full length of T1 looking for something quick.
Quality tracks with the price point: packet kuih and nut mixes run cheaper than the artisanal boxes you’ll see in downtown George Town, and the fabric items here are mostly basic cotton, not premium batik. If you care more about volume than presentation, grabbing three or four RM15 items here is easier than hunting outside the airport.
Stock can thin out toward the end of the day, especially before late-evening departures around 20:00–22:00, when crews and passengers sweep through for last-minute gifts.
