Parking Garage 1 sits directly in front of PEK’s old Terminal 1 and runs as a short-stay option with a daily cap around ¥80–140. It’s a small structure by PEK standards, with roughly 700 spaces, so think quick drop-offs, pickups, and same-day trips rather than leaving the car for a week.

The first 15 minutes are free, and then you slide into a meter-style setup of about ¥6–10 per 30–60 minutes, depending on the vehicle and zone, with the daily ceiling again topping out near ¥80–140. If your stop is under an hour, you often pay less than a taxi flag-fall, which makes Garage 1 a solid move for meeting an arriving passenger at T1.

The walk from the garage to Terminal 1 is roughly 3 minutes under cover, so you’re at check-in almost as fast as a curbside drop. Because T1 now handles fewer flights than T2 and T3, reports say Garage 1 is often easier to get into than the larger garages serving those terminals, especially at traditional morning bank times around 07:00–09:00.

Garage 1 works best if your flight or pickup is actually using T1; T2 and T3 are a separate shuttle ride away, and in that case Garage 2 or 3 usually makes more sense. Payment is standard PEK style at exit booths, typically taking cash and common Chinese mobile payments, with charges calculated to the minute once you pass that initial 15-minute window.

Tip: If you’re only dropping someone at Terminal 1, aim to be in and out of Garage 1 within 45–60 minutes to keep the total under roughly ¥20–30 and beat the heavier traffic around T2 and T3.
