Guy Malary Terminal (Domestic Terminal)

Guy Malary Terminal (Domestic Terminal) hosts Sunrise Airways.

Sunrise Airways runs all its domestic flights from the Guy Malary Terminal

The Guy Malary Terminal is the DOM side of Toussaint Louverture International Airport, handling Sunrise Airways services to cities inside Haiti. International flights still leave from the INTL terminal, so double-check your ticket code before you head to the airport.

This building sits next to the main international terminal at PAP, but it operates on its own system for check-in and boarding. If you’re connecting from an international arrival in the INTL terminal to a domestic Sunrise Airways flight, budget at least 60–90 minutes to collect bags, clear formalities, walk over, and re-check.

Sunrise Airways runs a relatively small schedule here compared with the international side, so the Guy Malary Terminal can feel quiet between banks of departures. Fewer flights also mean that if your single daily route is canceled, same-day rebooking options inside Haiti may be limited, especially on peak days like Friday and Sunday.

The terminal has no catalogued restaurants, shops, or lounges, so plan like there is no food, coffee, or cash machine on this side. Eat, hydrate, and withdraw cash in the INTL terminal or in town before arriving, then treat Guy Malary as a straight check-in-and-board setup.

Seating areas in the domestic side of PAP skew basic, with older chairs and few power outlets compared with big hubs in North America. Bring a fully charged power bank and your own charging cable, and assume you may sit in a shared gate area for up to 60 minutes without access to a reliable plug.

Security and boarding follow standard procedures, but staff pacing matches the small operation. Lines can jump from empty to full in 5 minutes when a Sunrise flight opens check-in. Show up roughly 2 hours before departure during busy travel days, and expect boarding to start about 30–40 minutes before your posted time.

Bags often move by hand or small belt systems rather than large carousels. That means checked luggage claim for domestic arrivals can take 20–30 minutes, especially if staff are also handling an outbound flight at the same time. Tag your bags clearly and keep receipts handy in case you need to talk to Sunrise about a delay.

One practical tip: buy water, snacks, and a local SIM or data top-up in the INTL terminal or in Port-au-Prince before heading into the Guy Malary Terminal, then treat DOM as a low-frills gatehouse that gets you onto Sunrise Airways as efficiently as the infrastructure allows.
