Travel Retail Norway

Duty free prices sit a notch lower at Travel Retail Norway than in central Oslo, especially on cosmetics and liquor.

This is the main duty free operator in Terminal T at Oslo Airport, running several post-security shops across Schengen and non-Schengen areas. You’ll see the largest store directly after security, with smaller satellites closer to the international gates. Alcohol, tobacco, chocolate, snacks, skincare, and perfume dominate the floor space.

Opening hours typically track the bulk of departures, roughly 05:00 to 22:00, with some sections open later when late flights run. Spirits and wine often undercut Norwegian Vinmonopolet city pricing by a clear margin, especially on 1L bottles from major brands. Expect standard EU duty free brands rather than niche finds.

Payment in NOK, EUR, and card (including contactless) all work here, and tax-free refund processing is handled separately from these duty free shelves. A basic 200g chocolate bar often runs around 40–60 NOK, while common whisky labels in 1L format land roughly 20–30% below downtown shop prices. Tills tend to be well staffed during the 07:00–09:00 and 16:00–19:00 banks.

Selection leans heavily on big Scandinavian and global names: Absolut, Linie aquavit, Freia chocolate, and the usual perfume houses. You won’t find much in the way of rare single malts or small-batch Norwegian producers here; think travel standards, not enthusiast hunting ground. Gift packs and multipacks are heavily promoted by the aisle ends.

Practical tip: if your time is tight, skip the main post-security store and use the smaller Travel Retail Norway outlet closer to your exact T gate; prices are essentially the same, and you’ll dodge the crowds stacked near security.
