OSL Lounge

T · E2 Open · 05:15-final departure Day pass NOK 350

Most non-Star Alliance business tickets at OSL end up here

OSL Lounge sits above gate E2 in Terminal T’s Schengen area and handles premium passengers for airlines like British Airways, Finnair and Emirates. It opens at 05:15 and runs until the final departure, so it covers the first BA bank and the late EK flight. Think of it as the default contract lounge for almost every non-SAS, non-Star departure.

You’ll find the entrance via the stairs or lift by the Starbucks near gate E8, tucked between Piers A and B and directly next to the SAS lounges. Access works with Priority Pass, many Amex Platinum products, and airline-invited business/elite passengers. If you’re walking up without a qualifying card or boarding pass, a day pass runs about NOK 350.

The main room has standard lounge seating, work tables and power outlets, but several bloggers call the decor dated and bland as of 2022. Free Wi‑Fi is a bright spot, repeatedly described as “fairly quick” in reviews, so it’s a decent place to clear email before a flight to London or Doha. Bathrooms sit at the back of the lounge; multiple trip reports confirm there are no showers, which matters if you’re heading onward on long-haul, like Emirates to DXB.

Food is the weak link. Frequent flyers on Turning Left for Less say the buffet “always looks” unappetising, and note that trays of salad and hot items often sit untouched during evening departures around 18:00–20:00. Drinks are more acceptable: expect self-pour beer and wine, basic spirits, and soft drinks in fridges, enough to make a quick G&T before a BA or QR boarding call.

There is a so‑called premium area behind a separate doorway, with allegedly better food and beverage. FlyerTalk posts from the SAS forum say that post‑COVID this space often stays roped off, even when visibly laid out, so don’t count on access even if staff say it’s “open later.” Regulars on non-Star tickets mostly use the general zone as quiet seating and skip the hot food altogether.

Watch out for

  • No shower facilities anywhere inside the lounge, confirmed by at least two independent reviews.
  • Food quality described as poor or untouched by several 2023 trip reports.
  • Layout and furniture feel tired compared with the neighboring SAS lounges.

One tip: if your connection is under 45 minutes or you’re already near gate E2, only head up if you specifically want Wi‑Fi and a drink; otherwise stay gate-side and board early.
