Two minutes from most T1 domestic gates, JB Hi-Fi is the place to panic-buy a cable when your charger dies at Gold Coast Airport. It sits post-security in the main departures retail strip, so you can duck in after screening and still keep an eye on boarding times.
Pricing is close to regular Australian JB Hi-Fi stores, not the inflated “airport only” markup you see elsewhere, though you’ll still pay a few dollars more on some accessories. If you need last-minute entertainment for a 2–3 hour flight, picking up wired earbuds or a Bluetooth speaker here is quicker than hunting through the rest of T1.
Opening hours generally track the first and last bank of flights, with doors open from early morning departures through the late-evening runs. If you have a 45–60 minute layover, you can usually squeeze in a pass-through here and still make boarding without stress.
Tip: save time by heading straight to the accessories wall on the right-hand side as you enter; that’s where you’ll find chargers, adapters and power banks without getting stuck browsing the bigger-ticket gadgets.
