10-minute shuttle ride gets you from P7 to Terminal 1
P7 is Nantes Atlantique Airport’s economy surface car park, aimed at longer stays where price matters more than being right next to T1. It sits outside the main terminal zone, so plan on using the official shuttle rather than walking with bags. You park your own car in open-air spaces, so no key handover and no valet handoffs to worry about.
This lot works best for trips of several days, because daily rates at P7 undercut the closer car parks around T1 by a noticeable margin. You trade a few extra minutes of transfer time for that lower price. The surface layout makes spaces easier to find than in multi-storey garages, and larger vehicles usually slide into bays without drama.
Access runs through the airport’s internal road system that feeds all the parking zones around Terminal 1. Follow the P7 signs once you pass the main NTE entry, then keep an eye out for lane splits that also feed P1 and other short-stay areas. You enter through a standard barrier with ticket or plate recognition, then find a spot in the marked rows before heading to the shuttle pickup point.
Because P7 is uncovered, your car sits in the open through Atlantic weather, including autumn rain and summer sun that can push interiors above 30°C. If you care about that, bring a windscreen shade or avoid leaving heat-sensitive items inside for a week-long stay. In winter, expect early-morning frost on windows before you drive straight back onto the Nantes ring road.
One practical tip: land at NTE with at least 30 extra minutes in your schedule on the return, in case you hit a wait for the P7 shuttle from Terminal 1 during busy evening banks like the 18:00–21:00 arrivals.
