Covered parking

50 metres from T1, this is Nantes’ covered P1 lot

P1 sits directly in front of Nantes Atlantique’s Terminal T1, so you walk roughly 1–2 minutes from your car to the check-in hall. It’s a covered car park, useful if you’re leaving the car for a week in winter rain or summer heat. This is the airport’s closest structured parking, so treat it as the “pay more, walk less” option.

This is official airport parking, so it’s open 24/7 and works fine for the 06:00 departures and late-night arrivals NTE sees. You take a ticket at entry, park on any open floor, then pay at the machines near the pedestrian exits before driving out. The short walking distance to T1 makes it easier if you have checked bags or kids in tow.

Prices in P1 run higher than the open-air long‑stay lots such as P2 and P3; you’re paying for both the cover and the sub‑5‑minute door‑to‑gate time. For short trips of 1–3 days, the time saved usually outweighs the extra daily rate. For longer holidays of a week or more, check the airport’s online booking page in advance; advance purchase discounts can cut the headline rate by a noticeable margin.

Capacity is limited compared with the larger surface car parks, and on busy Fridays and Sundays around school holidays P1 can fill up. If you’re flying then, aim to arrive at least 30 minutes earlier than you normally would, so you have time to divert to P2 or P3 if a “complet” sign is showing at the entrance.

One practical tip: pre-book P1 online, print or load the QR code on your phone, and head straight for the entrance barriers. That locks in your price, guarantees a space, and skips any last‑minute shuffle between car parks at Nantes Atlantique.
