P6

Close-in surface parking

2–3 minutes’ walk from T1, P6 is the close-in lot

P6 sits right by Nantes Atlantique’s T1 terminal, a short 2–3 minute walk to the check-in area. It’s an open-air, ground-level car park, so you drive straight in without ramps or height limits beyond the usual for surface lots. Signed as “P6” on airport approach roads, it’s easier to spot if you follow the T1 signage first, then look for P6 on the last turn.

This is a short- to medium-stay option, priced above the remote lots like P4 but below the premium spots directly opposite T1. It works best when you value a quick walk over saving every euro. Check current tariffs on the airport site, but expect pricing to make sense for trips of a few days rather than a two-week holiday. Payment usually runs through standard pay stations at the pedestrian exit and a card reader at the barrier.

P6 is fully inside the airport perimeter, with standard lighting columns and marked pedestrian paths toward T1’s main entrance. The walk is flat, so rolling suitcases and strollers handle it fine. There’s no dedicated shuttle: you park, lock, and walk straight to departures in under 5 minutes door to door if you’re not carrying too much.

If you’re catching an early flight around 06:00–07:00 from T1, parking in P6 lets you leave the car closer to your actual departure time because you’re not waiting on a bus. In peak summer weeks, spaces near the pedestrian exit to T1 go first, so arriving 20–30 minutes earlier than you usually would helps you land a quicker walk.

Tip: On arrival, drop passengers and heavy bags at T1 first, then loop back to P6 and walk in light; it only adds about 5 extra minutes and keeps the walk easy.
