P3

Close-in surface parking

Two to three minutes on foot from Terminal 1, P3 is the close-in outdoor lot for Nantes Atlantique passengers who want to park and walk. It’s a surface car park, so no height limits like a multistory, and you keep your keys with you. Short walks, simple layout, numbered rows.

P3 sits directly in front of T1 and is clearly signed as “P3 Proximité” on approach to the terminal access road. Follow the P3 signs once you pass the airport roundabout; the entrance barrier is on the right-hand side, before the more distant long‑stay options. If you’re dropping off kids or luggage, you can loop past the terminal first, then circle back to P3 in under 5 minutes.

This lot works best for stays of 1 to 3 days, with pricing higher than P4/P5 but lower than the terminal forecourt. Expect daily rates in the mid-range for NTE: good for a weekend break or a 1–2 day business trip when you want the car close by. Payment runs through the airport’s standard system: ticket on entry, pay at a machine or by card at the barrier on exit.

P3 is fully open-air, with standard-width spaces marked out in painted bays. There’s basic lighting at night and cameras at the entry/exit barriers, but no covered walkways, so in heavy Atlantic rain you’re exposed for the 200–300 meter walk to T1. If you’re loading skis or bulky gear, the flat surface layout makes it easier than a ramped garage.

There’s no reserved pedestrian tunnel here, just sidewalks and crossings leading toward Terminal 1’s departures curb. With luggage and kids, budget about 5 minutes from locking the car in P3 to reaching the check-in desks. One practical tip: snap a photo of your row number and nearest sign when you park; the lot fills in patches, and that picture saves a lot of wandering when you land back at NTE.
