Qantas Lounge

T2

Gate 82 in T2 is the landmark for the Qantas Lounge

This oneworld lounge sits airside in Narita Terminal 2, just past security and immigration, near the 80s gate cluster that Qantas and many other oneworld carriers use. If your flight leaves from a low 60s gate in T2, budget at least 10–12 minutes to walk back from the lounge to boarding.

The Qantas Lounge usually opens around 3 hours before QF26 and other Qantas departures, then closes once the last evening flight leaves T2. It sits one level up from the main concourse, with a check-in desk that scans oneworld Emerald and Sapphire cards plus same-day T2 oneworld boarding passes.

Food runs in small waves aligned to Qantas departure times, with hot dishes appearing roughly 90 minutes before QF26 boards and clearing out quickly once boarding starts. Expect Japanese-cafeteria style items like curry and rice, pasta, and simple salads rather than a full restaurant menu, so eat properly in T2 landside if you want a bigger meal.

The bar pours beer, house wine, and basic spirits at no extra charge, with self-pour beer machines that chill and tilt the glass automatically in about 15 seconds. Coffee comes from an automatic machine rather than a barista setup, but it still beats most gate-side options in T2 when you just need a quick flat white before an overnight flight.

Power outlets sit under many of the window seats and near the work tables, but some older seats in the interior zones still lack sockets, so check before you unpack your 100W charger. Wi‑Fi runs off the Narita T2 backbone with a separate lounge SSID, and speeds around 30–50 Mbps down are common in the afternoon QF26 bank.

Showers are available on request at the front desk, though the count is limited, so put your name down as soon as you enter if you land on a morning JL or CX oneworld flight into T2 and connect to Qantas. Standard amenities like shampoo, body wash, and towels are provided, and staff quote around 20–30 minutes if there is a small queue.

Practical tip: if your T2 departure is on a non-Qantas oneworld airline from a 60–70s gate, leave the lounge 5–10 minutes earlier than you normally would at NRT, as the walk plus a quick passport check at the gate can easily eat 15 minutes.
