Taxi 90min 32,000 yen

Last flight into NGO lands at 22:30 and you still need Toyohashi

If your final rail connection toward Toyohashi is gone for the night, a direct taxi from Chubu Centrair International Airport runs about 90 minutes and roughly 32,000 yen from T1 or T2 arrivals. This is the nuclear option when you can’t overnight in Nagoya and buses and trains have already shut down.

Metered taxis queue outside both T1 and T2 arrivals, with the main rank signed in English and Japanese near the standard green-and-white vehicles. For a Toyohashi run at 32,000 yen, you’re paying more than a midrange hotel in Nagoya plus next-morning rail, but you gain those 90 minutes and still sleep in your final city.

Figure 90 minutes drive time to Toyohashi Station area in normal late-night traffic, using the expressway most of the way from the airport island. Drivers generally accept cash and major cards, and 32,000 yen usually includes the expressway tolls; if not, the extra toll portion is small compared with the base fare.

There’s no set “frequency” for Toyohashi taxis, so you might wait 10–20 minutes if you need a larger vehicle or an English-speaking driver. Standard sedans from the NGO ranks fit three passengers plus two or three checked-size bags; split three ways, that 32,000 yen drops to about 10,700 yen per person for the 90‑minute hop.

Book ahead by phone or app if you’re landing on a bank holiday or during Golden Week, when late-night demand around Nagoya spikes and taxis sometimes quote higher flat rates for a 90‑minute intercity run. Mention Toyohashi by name and confirm the approximate 32,000 yen total so there’s no surprise at drop-off.

Practical tip: before leaving the baggage hall in T1 or T2, screenshot your hotel’s address in Japanese plus “Toyohashi Station” kanji, then show it to the driver and ask for an estimated fare and time; if the quote is far above 32,000 yen or 90 minutes, walk back to the main rank and try another cab.
