4 EV chargers sit in the main airport parking complex
The EV charging parking zone at Chubu Centrair International Airport (NGO) sits inside the main multi-storey parking area serving T1 and T2, so you stay close to both terminals. Spaces are marked specifically for electric vehicles, and you charge while parked rather than moving to a separate bay. Access is the same as regular parking: pull a ticket at the gate, follow the EV signs, then plug in.
Parking here uses the standard airport parking tariffs for the main lot, billed by the hour and then by calendar day, with charging itself typically priced separately depending on the operator. You pay parking at the usual machines near the pedestrian exits, then settle any charging fees via the charger’s payment method (RFID card, app, or credit card, depending on the unit). That means no special pass or pre-registration is mandatory just to enter the EV area.
The zone is walking distance to Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 via the same covered walkways used by other parkers; expect roughly 5–10 minutes on foot to T1 check-in if you land a spot on a lower level. Elevators link the EV section with the pedestrian bridges, so you can roll luggage directly from your car to the terminal walkway without stairs. Signage is in Japanese and English, matching the rest of Centrair’s car parks.
Because charger speeds and connector types vary, check your car’s plug (CHAdeMO, CCS, or Type 1) before you arrive so you don’t waste time hunting on-site. If you’re flying from T1 in the morning, aim to park 30–40 minutes earlier than usual so you can plug in, confirm the session has started, and still hit check-in without rushing.
