The lounge name on your app probably doesn’t match NCE reality

If you see “The Library Lounge” listed for Nice Terminal 1, treat it as an outdated label for a generic VIP lounge rather than a clearly separate space with its own entrance or branding. Most recent maps and the official Nice Côte d’Azur site list only standard Terminal 1 VIP lounges, with no current signage using “Library” at the door.

Terminal 1 at NCE runs most non-Schengen and some Schengen flights, and any VIP lounge access here depends on your airline, status, or day-pass program rather than a dedicated “Library” product. If your boarding pass shows lounge access in T1, staff at the information desk by the main security checkpoint can point you to the active VIP lounge, even if your app still says “Library Lounge.”

Don’t plan a tight visit: security for Terminal 1 can hit 25–35 minutes in summer peaks, and any lounge in this terminal sits airside after standard security and passport control. Give yourself at least 60–75 minutes from curb to lounge chair for non-Schengen departures, especially on weekend late-morning banks when multiple flights leave around 11:00.

Access rules matter more than the outdated name: Priority Pass, airline status, or a business-class ticket on carriers using Terminal 1 usually control entry, and walk-up paid entry can run in the €35–€50 range at Nice’s contract lounges. If your credit card app shows “The Library Lounge” as a benefit, assume it maps to the main Terminal 1 VIP lounge, not an extra option.

Food and drink specifics for any supposed “Library” setup at NCE don’t have reliable current data attached, and recent trip reports for Terminal 1 contract lounges talk more about cold snacks and self-serve drinks than hot meals or barista coffee. Budget for buying a proper meal in the main terminal if you’re flying around typical lunch and dinner banks like 12:00–14:00 or 18:00–20:00.

Practical tip: screenshot your lounge entitlement screen before you arrive at Nice, then show the “Library Lounge / Terminal 1 VIP” listing at the check-in desk or terminal information counter so staff can redirect you to the correct, currently operating lounge in T1.
