Domestic Terminal

Domestic Terminal hosts Fiji Link. It's Fiji Airways's home turf at NAN. You'll find 1 lounge here.

Most Fiji island hops start from Nadi’s Domestic Terminal

Fiji Link runs all its domestic flights out of this small Domestic Terminal at Nadi International Airport, handling short hops to places like Suva, Labasa, and island airstrips used by resorts. Think of it as a holding point between the larger International terminal and your final island instead of a place to linger for hours.

The Domestic building sits a short walk from the main International terminal at NAN, and most people move between the two on foot in under 10 minutes once they’re through immigration and customs. You stay landside for that walk, then clear security at Domestic just once before boarding your Fiji Link turboprop.

Fiji Link check-in for domestic routes usually opens around 2 hours before departure, and counters can bunch up when several flights leave close together. With no catalogued priority lanes or premium check-in area here, plan your timing the same way you would for a small regional airport rather than a big hub.

Inside the Domestic Terminal there are no listed restaurants, no branded coffee chains, and no named sit-down spots, so eat and hydrate in the International arrivals or departures areas before you walk across. Expect basic seating, ceiling fans, and a couple of small counters or kiosks at most, not a full food court setup.

No lounges are catalogued in the Domestic Terminal, and there’s no mention of a Fiji Airways or Fiji Link branded club on this side. If you have lounge access through Fiji Airways or a partner, you’ll likely be using those facilities in the International terminal before heading over to Domestic for your boarding call.

Shops in this part of NAN don’t show up in official maps or traveler reports, which usually means only simple stands selling water, snacks, and maybe some local magazines or sunscreen. Buy anything specific you need—SIM card, duty free, or last-minute gifts—in the International terminal arrivals or departures zones before walking across.

Most resort transfers out of Nadi connect directly to Fiji Link flights, often within 2–3 hours of landing from long-haul routes like LAX–NAN or SYD–NAN. Build enough buffer between your international arrival and domestic departure to clear immigration, collect bags, walk to Domestic, and check in again; 2 hours is the bare minimum, 3 hours is more comfortable.

Boarding here typically happens via ground-level doors and walking out to the aircraft, often ATR turboprops or smaller types used by Fiji Link on domestic runs. Hand luggage rules are enforced more strictly on these smaller planes, so pack valuables in a bag that can handle being tagged and stowed if overhead bins fill up.

Final tip: treat the International terminal as your main stop for food, currency exchange, and lounge time, then shift over to the Domestic Terminal about 60–75 minutes before your scheduled Fiji Link departure.
