P4 Holiday Outdoor

Economy outdoor parking

P4 is MXP’s budget outdoor lot near Terminal 1

P4 Holiday Outdoor sits by Terminal 1 at Milan Malpensa (MXP) and runs as the airport’s economy outdoor parking option. It’s a good fit if you’re price-sensitive and don’t mind leaving the car uncovered in exchange for lower daily rates than the closer multi-storey garages. You park yourself, keep your keys, and walk to T1 via signed pedestrian paths in a few minutes, so there’s no waiting around for shuttle schedules.

This lot serves Terminal 1 flights, which covers most full-service and long-haul airlines at MXP, including many intercontinental routes. If you’re flying out of Terminal 2 on a low-cost carrier, expect to transfer from T1 to T2 by the airport’s internal transport, which adds extra time both on departure and arrival. Plan at least 20–30 minutes of buffer if your boarding pass shows T2 and you still want the cheaper P4 pricing instead of parking closer to that terminal.

As an economy outdoor lot, P4 Holiday typically undercuts the on-site premium garages by several euros per day on stays of three nights or longer. Prebooking online through the official airport system often locks in lower rates than drive-up pricing, especially around summer holidays and long weekends. Payment at the end of your stay usually goes through automatic machines using cards or cash, with ticket validation done at barriers at both entry and exit.

Lighting, marked bays, and standard airport security patrols cover the area, but cars stay in open air all year, which matters in winter snow or summer hail. Height restrictions are usually more relaxed here than in multi-storey garages, making P4 a practical pick for taller vehicles that struggle with 2.00–2.10 m limits. If your car sits higher than a typical hatchback or SUV, double-check current maximum heights on the airport site before you book.

Practical tip: take a photo of your row number and nearest pedestrian exit sign as soon as you park; it saves a long walk with luggage later when P4 fills up at peak holiday departures.
