Dallmayr Bar

2 $$$$

Gate-side prosecco in Terminal 2

In Terminal 2, Dallmayr Bar gives you a glass of wine or prosecco at the gate instead of yet another Helles. It’s a compact, bar-style offshoot of the Munich delicatessen brand, focused more on drinks than food. You’ll find it airside in T2, so it works for Lufthansa and Star Alliance Schengen departures out of that terminal.

Prices sit in the mid range for the airport: expect roughly €7–€10 for wine by the glass, higher than central Munich but normal for MUC T2. Beer is usually a little cheaper per glass than the prosecco. Snacks are limited compared with the big Dallmayr café in the city, so think small bites, not a full meal.

The setup is basically a standing bar with only a handful of seats, according to multiple Google reviews. That makes it work best for a 15–30 minute stop, not a long layover. If you want to sit and plug in a laptop for an hour, T2’s main cafés near Gates G and H are a better play.

Regulars use Dallmayr Bar as a pre-boarding ritual: one glass of prosecco, then straight to the nearby gates. Several Reddit and Google reviewers mention heading here specifically when they don’t have lounge access in T2. It fills the same niche as a lounge bar, just paid per drink instead of entry fee.

Watch out for: wine by the glass feels steep compared with Marienplatz bars, and bills climb fast if you turn one drink into three. Space also gets tight at peak evening bank times for Lufthansa departures out of T2.

  • Order: prosecco or a decent house white; add a small snack if you’re genuinely hungry.
  • Skip: lingering; finish your drink and move to the gate area for real seating.
  • Tip: check your gate first; if it’s a 5–7 minute walk away in T2, you’ve got time for exactly one drink.
