Limousine transfer from Terminal 2 is the whole point of VipWing

Munich’s VipWing in Terminal 2 runs more like a paid VIP ground-handling service than a standard Priority Pass lounge. You’re paying for privacy, escorting, and tarmac transfers, not buffet grazing and a quick shower. Access is sold directly by the airport on a per-person package basis, and the pricing lands well above regular business lounge day passes, closer to a car-and-driver service plus lounge wrapped together.

VipWing sits airside in Terminal 2, attached to Munich Airport’s own VIP programme rather than any single carrier. Staff meet you at a set point in T2, walk you through dedicated formalities, and then move you into one of several private rooms, each with seating, work space, and space for hand luggage. If your airline and stand allow it, you’re taken to the aircraft in a dedicated car from a private exit rather than going back through the normal gate area.

Food and drink are handled more like a small hotel lounge than a mass lounge operation. You’ll see plated snacks and drinks service rather than giant chafing dishes, and hot items are prepared to order during core departure banks. Alcohol is included, with branded spirits and German beer alongside soft drinks and coffee. If you want a full restaurant-style meal before a long-haul in Terminal 2, you’ll probably still plan one proper sit-down in the public area, then treat VipWing as a quiet, serviced waiting room.

On arrival into Terminal 2, VipWing can also be booked as a meet-and-greet with ground transfer and private room use. That can cut a noticeable chunk of time compared with walking the full length of T2, queuing at standard passport control, and then hunting for bags on the main carousel line. For tight same-terminal connections in T2, the escort and van transfer direct to the next flight can be the only reason a 40-minute legal connection feels remotely relaxed.

This product makes most sense for small groups, families, or executives who value privacy and hand-holding over lounge variety. If you only need a shower and a snack in Terminal 2, the standard Lufthansa and Star Alliance lounges cover that for a fraction of the cost. One practical tip: line up your VipWing booking with your exact flight number and arrival/departure times from Terminal 2 so the escort and car meet you at the right door and you’re not paying to sit there longer than you need.
