Lufthansa Panorama Lounge

2

Overflow only lounge space in Munich T2 Schengen

When Lufthansa’s main Terminal 2 Schengen lounges hit capacity, agents sometimes send passengers to the Lufthansa Panorama Lounge instead. It sits in Terminal 2 airside in the Schengen zone, sharing the same basic formula as the other Lufthansa spaces but without the same name recognition. Treat it as bonus square footage rather than a flagship.

Access generally mirrors other Lufthansa-operated Schengen lounges in T2, and the lounge mainly opens during peak departure waves tied to Lufthansa and Star Alliance traffic rather than 24/7. If staff at the regular Business or Senator lounge in Terminal 2 tell you it’s full, ask specifically if Panorama is in use that day; it isn’t always open.

Food follows the familiar Lufthansa lounge pattern in Munich: think a small hot dish rotation, soup, simple salads, and cold cuts rather than a full restaurant service. Coffee machines, soft drinks, beer, and basic spirits are usually self-serve and included, which beats paying bar prices at the Terminal 2 Schengen gates. Eat a real meal in the terminal if you need something beyond canteen-style lounge plates.

Seating is standard-issue Lufthansa Terminal 2 furniture with a mix of armchairs and small tables, not private suites. Because it functions as an overflow Schengen space, Panorama tends to feel quieter than the main Lufthansa T2 lounges during busy morning and late-afternoon banks. Power outlets are there but not at every single seat, so grab a spot near a wall or column if you need to charge a laptop for a 2–3 hour layover.

Connectivity runs off Munich Airport’s free Wi‑Fi, which already works well in Terminal 2’s Schengen gates, so speeds in the lounge are usually fine for email and streaming short videos. Restrooms are inside the lounge, which saves a few minutes versus going back into the T2 concourse crowd and re-entering via the reception desk each time.

Tip: If your Lufthansa Schengen flight from Terminal 2 is boarding from a bus gate, ask staff at check-in or the main lounge which Schengen lounge is closest to your actual departure pier; Panorama only makes sense if it doesn’t add more than a 5–10 minute walk back to your gate.
