Gate-side bar in Terminal 1 with strong drinks

Terminal 1’s Hi-Lo sits airside in MSP and pulls a 4.1 rating, mainly on the back of its cocktails and quick service. It works as a sit-down spot when you’ve got 45 minutes before boarding and don’t want to gamble on a full-service restaurant running slow.

Hi-Lo runs from morning into the late evening in Terminal 1, so you can grab a Bloody Mary at 8 a.m. or a nightcap after a 9 p.m. arrival. Expect airport pricing: cocktails land in the low-to-mid teens, beer a few dollars less, and bar snacks hovering around $10–$15.

Menu is straightforward bar food: think burgers, fries, flatbreads, and shareable apps, backed by a decent tap list heavy on regional beers from Minnesota and neighboring states. If you care more about a strong pour than a memorable meal, this place hits the brief better than the larger sit-down chains nearby in T1.

Service usually moves faster at the bar seats than at the small tables, especially during the 4–7 p.m. rush before Delta banks depart from Terminal 1. Food comes out in about 15–25 minutes in most reviews, while drinks are often in hand within 5 minutes of sitting down.

There aren’t many power outlets at Hi-Lo, and the few near the high-tops in Terminal 1 get claimed quickly. Plan on using your own battery pack if you need to top up before a 3–4 hour flight and don’t count on this stop doubling as a charging station.

Tip: If your flight leaves in under an hour from a nearby Terminal 1 gate, grab a bar seat, order a drink and one snack together on the first round, and ask for the check when the food lands to avoid a 5–10 minute lag at the end.
