Terminal 2: Hourly Parking

Short stay

$36 daily max makes T2 Hourly great for minutes, bad for nights

Terminal 2: Hourly Parking sits directly across from Terminal 2, tied in by a covered skyway with a 3-minute walk to Sun Country check-in. This is the closest short-stay option for all T2 airlines, so it’s the ramp people pick for tight pickups, quick drop-offs, or same-day turns.

Rates run about $5 for the first hour, then $3 each additional hour, capped at a steep $36 per day. That cap is higher than T1 Hourly/Daily at $26 and even creeps toward the $45 valet ceiling on longer stays, which is why regulars call this a bad deal for overnights.

The structure is signed as short-term and marked “Hourly” for Terminal 2, and it’s physically attached, so you stay indoors once you hit the skyway. Because T2 is smaller than Terminal 1, walking distances from the Hourly levels to security are short, just a few minutes on foot even from the higher decks.

Frequent MSP flyers say T2 Hourly shines for quick pickups and same-day Sun Country runs, but they steer anything longer to Value or Quick Ride, which charge far less per 24 hours. Some locals even drop at T2 Hourly, then re-park in Value or an offsite lot if the car will sit for more than one day.

Watch out for the choke points getting in and out of the ramp when Terminal 2 banks departures; there are fewer approach lanes than at T1, so the queue can back up toward the entrance. One practical move: check your flight’s real-time status before pulling a ticket here, and only enter T2 Hourly if you’re within 30–40 minutes of an arrival or departure.
