Red Ramp sits on the Terminal 1 side of MSP and is the first color ramp many drivers hit when approaching from the south on I-35W or Highway 77. It shares the standard Terminal 1 Daily/Hourly rate structure, so you pay the same $26 per day here as in Blue or Gold. The walk from Red Ramp into the Terminal 1 ticketing level runs about 5 minutes at a normal pace, which Delta flyers like because it lines up well with the main Delta check-in area.

Pricing is simple: short stays follow the Terminal 1 hourly chart, longer stays cap out at the $26 daily max. Red Ram​p is one of the primary Terminal 1 parking structures on MSP’s official map, not a satellite lot, so you stay indoors from car to terminal after you’re parked. Elevators and stairs connect each parking level directly to the skyway paths into Terminal 1, which keeps you out of snow and wind in January.

Inside the ramp, the main gripe mirrors the rest of T1: signage. Drivers report confusing wayfinding on upper levels and say they can spend extra minutes looping when they arrive during peak times like Monday mornings. Because Red, Blue, and Gold use similar concrete-and-paint layouts, some travelers return from a trip and genuinely forget if they left the car in Red or a neighboring color ramp, then end up walking across multiple structures to find it.

Locals who park at MSP often default to Red Ramp purely out of habit because it’s the first Terminal 1 entrance they see on their specific route, especially coming from I-35W or the 494 corridor. Some also like the relatively direct exit back toward those same highways when leaving, though they admit the time savings versus other T1 ramps is modest. One practical tip: snap a quick photo of the level, row number, and a visible RED sign when you park so you’re not guessing between Red, Blue, and Gold after a 4-hour flight delay.
