Gate E6 sits almost directly opposite the United Club door
This United Club in Terminal 1, Concourse E serves mostly United and Star Alliance traffic, so it’s best if you’re on an E-gate departure like E4–E10. It’s post-security, so you clear TSA anywhere in Terminal 1, then walk over on the E concourse spine.
The lounge usually opens around the first United departures of the morning and runs until the last evening bank, roughly 5:00am–8:30pm on typical schedules. Check your specific flight day, since MSP bank times shift a bit on weekends and holidays.
Access follows standard United Club rules: same-day United or Star Alliance business class, United Club membership, one-time Club pass, or an eligible international Star Alliance status card. You must be departing from Terminal 1; there’s no secure transfer from Terminal 2, so a Sun Country or Southwest boarding pass over at 2 doesn’t help you here.
Inside, think smaller spoke-city club, not a big hub like ORD C16. Seating runs along the windows with a mix of armchairs and a few high-top tables. Power outlets sit between many chairs, but not every seat has one, so if you see a free spot with two outlets under the side table, grab it early in the afternoon rush between the 2:00pm–4:00pm departures.
Food falls in the usual United domestic pattern: basic breakfast like bagels, yogurt cups, and maybe hard-boiled eggs before 10:30am, then soups, salad bar items, and snack mixes later in the day. Coffee comes from self-serve machines, and the bar pours standard house beer and wine without charge, with higher-shelf liquor and premium drinks at extra cost that posts directly to the card you hand over.
Wi‑Fi runs on the United Club network, not the generic MSP free Wi‑Fi, and typically tests solid enough for a 720p stream or a Teams call in the 10–15 Mbps range. Restrooms are inside the club, which helps if you’re on a tight 40-minute connection and don’t want to head back into the main concourse crowd.
Practical tip: If you’re flying out of F or G, start walking 20 minutes before boarding time; the hike from the United Club in E to some G gates can run close to 15 minutes at a normal pace.
