Concourse D location means this small partner lounge mainly serves international departures from Terminal 1.
The Air France Lounge sits in Terminal 1, Concourse D, and functions as a partner space for SkyTeam and select international carriers. It’s airside, so you need to clear security at Terminal 1 first. Signage in Concourse D points to the shared lounge corridor; follow those instead of the general gate signs so you don’t overshoot it.
Access is limited to eligible partner airline premium cabins, status holders, and some contracted business-class passengers departing from Terminal 1, Concourse D. Priority Pass-style walk-up access isn’t consistent here, and staff typically check same-day boarding passes tied to partner airlines at check-in. If you’re flying out of Terminal 2, this lounge does not help you, since you can’t clear security and walk airside between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
Expect a compact seating area with standard armchairs and small tables packed closer together than at the larger Delta Sky Club near Concourse F in Terminal 1. Power outlets sit between some chairs, but not every seat has one, so charge up near your gate if your device is below 40%. Large windows face the apron on the D side, giving decent views of regional and occasional widebody operations.
Food runs to light snacks at most times, with basic sandwiches and finger food rather than full hot meals, and selection can thin out toward the last departure bank of the evening. Beer and wine usually come from self-serve fridges or a small counter, while spirits are limited compared with the bigger paid bars in Terminal 1 near Concourse G. If you want a full dinner, grab something in the main concourse first and treat the lounge as a quiet staging area.
Hours track the long-haul and transborder schedule from Concourse D, so the lounge generally opens a few hours before the first partner international departure and closes after the last one boards; late-night domestic-only banks in Terminal 1 run without it. Schedules change with the season, so check same-week hours with your airline if you’re connecting through MSP.
Practical tip: if you’re torn between this and a Delta Sky Club and you have access to both, use the Air France Lounge only when your flight departs from a nearby D gate to avoid a 10–15 minute walk back from the F/G side of Terminal 1.
