Accessible Parking

Accessible

$18 daily cap and the shortest walk if you have a placard

Accessible Parking at Monterey Regional Airport sits in both Short Term lots, with marked disabled spaces less than a 1‑minute walk from the terminal doors. Stalls are first‑come, first‑served, including in the Premium section, so pull in early on busy Friday and Sunday mornings.

The actual disability discount only applies in the regular Short Term lot: vehicles with a Disabled Person plate or placard are charged $2 per half hour, with a maximum of $18 for each 24 hours. Park in the Premium Short Term section and you still get proximity, but you pay the regular Premium rate, not the discounted accessible rate.

For terminal access, Short Term (Premium) lines up closest to the main entrance, security checkpoint, and ticket counters, again about a 1‑minute walk from most accessible spaces. The airport specifically flags this Premium Short Term side as the better choice if you want smoother wheelchair or walker routes to the on‑site restaurant and the public observation deck.

There is a dedicated elevator near the security checkpoint that connects the Short Term/Premium area to the restaurant and observation deck upstairs. If you plan to spend time plane‑spotting or grabbing a sit‑down meal before a flight, park on the Premium side, use the elevator once, and avoid pushing up any ramps.

Practical tip: If you qualify for the discount, aim for the regular Short Term lot first to lock in the $2 per half hour / $18 daily rate, then only slide over to Premium Short Term if the regular accessible stalls are already full.
