Right past security, Hudson News is your quick grab spot
Hudson News sits in the Main Terminal at MOB, just past the post-security checkpoint, and it’s basically the only true newsstand-style stop before the gates. It runs as a standard airport gift shop: magazines, paperbacks, chargers, neck pillows, and last-minute toiletries, all under a budget-friendly $ price tier compared with airport restaurants nearby.
Expect the usual national titles on the racks: big-name newspapers, weekly news magazines, puzzle books, and a wall of snacks and drinks you can carry to any gate in the Main Terminal. Prices track with typical Hudson News locations, so a bottled drink runs a few dollars and basic travel accessories stay under what you’d pay for a full sit-down meal in the concourse.
Post-security location matters at MOB because there’s not a lot else between the checkpoint and the smaller gate area in the Main Terminal. If you forgot headphones or a phone cable, Hudson News usually has several brands and connector types on one accessory rack, plus basic battery packs that can carry you through a full flight or a 3–4 hour delay.
Food-wise, think packaged: chips, candy bars, nuts, and grab-and-go pastries stacked near the coolers. You’ll also see canned and bottled soft drinks, water, and often a small row of energy drinks. If you want a real meal, you’ll head elsewhere in the Main Terminal, but for a quick snack under $10 to take onboard, this shop does the job.
Tip: stop at Hudson News immediately after clearing security in the Main Terminal; lines are shortest before the first bank of morning departures and right after the 5 p.m. rush passes.
