6 a.m. beers are fair game at Chart Room Bar

Chart Room Bar sits past security in the Main Terminal at Mobile Regional Airport, open daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. It’s the only true sit-down bar option once you clear TSA, so this is where you go if you want a real drink instead of a grab-and-go can from a cooler.

Expect mid-range airport pricing: call drinks usually land in the low-to-mid teens, and domestic beers come in a few dollars cheaper. You’re paying $$ more for the barstool and TV than for anything craft, but for a regional airport like MOB the menu feels normal, not gougy.

Seats are limited, and when the morning bank of flights around 6–8 a.m. pushes through security, the bar can fill most of its stools. The good news: the 6 p.m. closing time lines up with the last departures, so you’re unlikely to get stuck without service as long as your flight is on the board.

This is a drinks-first setup, so don’t expect a long food list or specialty cocktails with house-made syrups. Think basic mixed drinks, wine by the glass, and standard bottled or draft beer. If you want a proper meal with sides, grab that elsewhere in the Main Terminal before parking here and treating this as your pre-boarding pit stop.

Service rhythm follows the flight schedule: when a Delta and American departure line up at adjacent gates, you may wait 10–15 minutes for a second round; during mid-day lulls, the bartender may have only two or three guests. Tip well and they usually remember your order on the next Mobile trip.

Pro tip: last call can hit around 5:30 p.m. even though posted hours run to 6 p.m., so if your flight leaves after 6:15 p.m., order that final drink before boarding starts.
