Macau’s official parking map only shows standard lots, not “VIP” spots
Macau International Airport (MFM/MTB) publishes one unified outdoor car park with a single price table, and its website doesn’t list any separate VIP Parking Area or valet product. If you see “VIP Parking Area” referenced on a booking site, treat it as a label on top of the same surface lots you reach from the terminal in about 2–4 minutes on foot.
Hourly and daily prices on the official Macau Airport page are the same across the car park, with no premium tier and no mention of reserved bays by name. That strongly suggests any “Reserved” VIP Parking Area is, at best, a pre-booked section within the regular car park rather than a physically different facility with its own staffed entrance or private lane into MTB terminal.
FlyerTalk, Reddit, and points blogs that obsess over perks at MFM talk in detail about Plaza Premium Lounge access, often quoting MOP 200–300 for a paid visit, but none of them mention dedicated VIP parking at all. Regulars clearly put their cash into lounge time instead of paying extra to park closer or under a special label.
If a third-party site sells “VIP Parking Area” as a reserved option, expect a standard outdoor bay with the same walking distance and the same exposure to heat and rain as everyone else. There are no traveller reports of staffed meet-and-greet, licence plate recognition, or a private shuttle tied to any VIP parking product at MFM.
Practical tip: before you pay a markup for “VIP Parking Area,” cross-check the current per-hour and daily car park rates on the official Macau Airport parking page and compare the difference to simply buying lounge access inside MTB for your wait.
