$45 gets you into Plaza Premium Lounge, but treat it like a pit stop, not a destination.

This Plaza Premium sits airside in MTB, on the mezzanine opposite Gate 9/9A via the escalator, so you’re already past security and immigration before you head up. It’s the only lounge at Macau with clearly advertised pay-in access plus Priority Pass entry, which is why it fills up fast during mid-morning and evening departure banks.

Walk-up or prebook day passes run about $45.00, with most booking sites saying you only need to reserve 2–3 days ahead. Access is in the restricted Departures area, and you’ll need a same-day boarding pass; transit passengers must already hold their onward boarding pass before they’re let in at the desk.

Core setup: hot food trays, snacks, and drinks, including some vegetarian options listed on Tripadvisor, plus lounge chairs, bays, and regular armchairs spread along the windows near Gate 9/9A. There’s a small playroom for kids, high-speed Wi‑Fi that’s quicker than the public MFM network, and charging points along several seat rows, so topping up a laptop before a 3–4 hour flight is easy if you find a spot.

Don’t expect premium dining at this price; one recent GetYourGuide review called it “crowded and not well stocked” during their visit. On slower periods you’ll find basic hot dishes, bread, and soft drinks out, but at peak times trays can sit empty for 10–15 minutes and popular items disappear quickly, so treat the buffet as a snack stop rather than dinner.

What regulars do: they time their visit to 60–90 minutes before departure, grab a shower or a plate of food if available, then head down to gates 7–9 once boarding for their flight number shows on the FIDS screens inside the lounge. Many frequent users only prebook 2–3 days in advance because that’s what the product page itself recommends and same-day capacity can cap out.

Watch out for capacity controls: Tripadvisor warns that entry may be restricted when the room fills, and at least one reviewer reported being refused early entry when they turned up well ahead of their boarding time. If you’re set on using it, clear security early in MTB, ride the escalator up across from Gate 9/9A, and be ready with a backup plan in the main terminal in case the lounge is temporarily full.
