Chilaquiles and pancakes at Gate C3 in T2

Vips in Terminal T2 sits near gate C3 and runs as a full sit-down diner, not a grab-and-go stand. It’s one of the few places in MEX T2 where you can sit down, order chilaquiles or pancakes, and still keep an eye on the C-gates. Expect mid-range prices ($$) and a menu that looks like a typical Mexican family restaurant chain you’d see in the city.

The menu leans breakfast-heavy all day, with plates of chilaquiles, eggs, coffee refills, and American-style pancakes available even outside morning rush. You can also find basic sandwiches and burgers if you land at lunch or later. Most mains land in the middle of airport pricing, not cheap, not sky-high. With a 3 out of 5 rating, food is fine for a pre-flight sit-down, not a destination meal.

Service is standard chain-restaurant style, with table service that works well if you have at least 45–60 minutes before boarding a domestic flight from T2. If your flight departs from a C-gate near C3, you can comfortably stay until boarding groups start lining up. For tighter connections under 30 minutes, this isn’t the place; grab something faster in the hallway instead.

Order the chilaquiles if you want something local-ish without leaving the secure side of T2, and pancakes or eggs if you just want predictable breakfast food before a morning departure. Coffee is refilled reasonably quickly, and portions are large enough that one main dish usually does the job. With the mid-range prices, adding juice and coffee to a plate will push the bill up, so check the menu if you’re watching pesos.

Practical tip: already through security in T2 and departing from any C-gate, especially near C3, budget at least 40 minutes to sit down at Vips, eat, and still board without rushing.
