Starbucks

T1 ★ 3.5

Power outlets and Wi‑Fi first, latte second at T1

In Terminal T1, this Starbucks pulls double duty as caffeine stop and stand-in coworking space. Travelers camp here with laptops because seats, wall plugs, and semi-reliable Wi‑Fi beat working at the gate. It sits post-security in T1, so you can keep an eye on your boarding time and still get emails out with a tall latte beside you.

Expect standard Starbucks pricing: espresso drinks and frappuccinos land around 70–120 MXN, basic brewed coffee a bit less, and pastries around 40–70 MXN. The menu tracks what you see in US and Mexico City street locations, including cold brew, Refreshers, sandwiches, and heated paninis. For quick calories before a morning Aeroméxico or Viva Aerobus departure out of T1, a venti latte and sandwich combo runs you under 200 MXN.

Lines spike around 06:00–09:00 and again from roughly 17:00–19:00 as banks of flights leave T1. With a 3.5 rating, reviews land in the "fine, not special" zone: drinks are made correctly most of the time, but this isn’t where you debate single-origin beans. Staff moves at normal airport speed; a five‑person line can still take 10 minutes when they’re pushing frappes and mobile orders.

Power outlets are the real draw. Along the walls you’ll find several two‑socket plugs, and tables tend to be laptop-friendly instead of tiny café rounds. Wi‑Fi usually works well enough for email and Slack, though large downloads can crawl. Figure you can comfortably sit an hour with one drink without anyone hinting you should move, especially outside the peak morning wave.

Tip: on a short connection in T1, mobile-order (if available in your Starbucks app region) before you walk over, grab your drink, and take the first outlet seat you see instead of shopping for the "best" table.
