Presto

$$$$

Upstairs by the T1 check-in desks, Presto gives you a Colombian fast-food burger instead of another Burger King stop.

This Presto sits in the main food court area above the second-floor check-in hall in Terminal 1, so it works both before and after domestic check-in. It’s landside, so friends or family who aren’t flying can eat here too before you head through security. Signage in the upstairs food area is decent, but look for the bright red Presto branding near the other Colombian chains Medellin Guru lists as “typical” options.

Price-wise, expect combo meals to run a bit higher than in Medellín city branches, but still under what you’d pay at most international chains for a burger, fries, and a drink. Google reviews consistently mention that a full combo hits the low-budget range for an airport, putting this firmly in the $ tier. If you only want a quick snack, a single burger or fries order keeps the spend even lower and gets you out fast.

Menu focus is classic fast food: beef burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries, and soft drinks, all prepped on a short-order line. Regulars say they pick Presto when the Burger King queue next door coils past 10–15 people, since Presto’s line usually stays shorter. Some locals like it specifically because it’s a Colombian brand, even if the flavor is closer to generic airport burger than gourmet Medellín street food.

Common complaints: a few Google reviewers call the burgers “bland” and “nothing special compared to what you can get in Medellín city,” and some mention food arriving warm instead of hot during rush times around big Avianca domestic banks. If the upstairs food court looks slammed at lunch or around the 18:00–20:00 wave, expect slightly slower turnover and check that your fries are hot before you walk off.

Tip: check Burger King’s line first; if it’s more than 10 people deep, slide over to Presto and you’ll usually have a basic burger combo in hand faster.
