Gate-side option in Terminal 1
By Terminal 1, Camden Food Co sits airside and covers the basic “grab something before boarding” task without drama. It’s a quick-service counter rather than a sit-down restaurant, so think sandwiches, salads, and pastries you can carry to your gate in T1.
Terminal 1 at Lyon is mostly short- and medium-haul, and Camden Food Co leans into fast turnover. Expect pre-made baguettes, wraps, and simple salads in the €6–€10 range, plus coffee and soft drinks in the €2–€4 band. It’s fine for a 20-minute stop between security and boarding when you don’t have time to walk over to Terminal 2.
Most locations under the Camden Food Co brand focus on “healthier” airport food, so in T1 you’re more likely to see salads, fruit pots, and wholegrain-style sandwiches than burgers. If you want something light before a 1–2 hour hop to Paris or London, this setup fits. For anything more substantial than a sandwich and a drink, prices climb toward €12–€14 once you add extras.
Hours at Terminal 1 track the first and last departures, so Camden Food Co usually opens early morning, around the first wave of flights, and winds down after the final T1 departures. During midday peaks, queues can form, but service is counter-style and fairly quick; you’re typically done in under 10 minutes unless several flights are boarding at once from nearby gates.
Tip: if you care about choice, do a quick lap of Terminal 1 first; once you pass your specific gate cluster, walking back can eat 5–10 minutes you may not have before boarding starts.
