P7 Premium

Premium covered

5-minute shuttle ride, prepaid-only: that’s P7 Premium in a sentence.

P7 Premium sits outside the main terminal zone at Lyon Saint-Exupéry and works as a cheaper covered alternative to the under-terminal garages at T1 and T2. You park in a tarmacked, premium-category car park, then take a shuttle bus that runs to the terminals in about 5 minutes. Think “airport-run remote premium lot” rather than a garage you can walk from.

This car park is online booking only via the Lyon Airports store, so you cannot drive up, take a ticket, and pay at exit. Several Trustpilot reviews mention people arriving without a booking and being redirected into more expensive drive-up options on the day. Regulars lock in a space days or weeks ahead specifically to avoid that walk-up surprise.

P7 Premium is fully covered, which matters in Lyon winters when night temperatures drop close to 0°C and summer sun can easily hit 30°C on the open asphalt. You still use the shuttle for Terminal 1 or 2, so factor in 5 minutes travel time plus a short wait at the stop. Compared to the under-terminal car parks, you trade the elevator ride for a bus ride and usually pay less when booked early.

Reviews of the airport’s booking platform flag “unclear information” on online-only products, and P7 sits squarely in that category. The wording “access to Terminal 1 only by shuttle bus” catches some drivers off guard who expect to walk a few hundred meters instead of adding a bus step. If you hate extra links in the chain, the under-terminal garages closer to T1 and T2 may suit you better despite the higher daily rate.

Tip: book P7 Premium online the same day you buy your flight, then aim to arrive at the lot at least 30 minutes before check-in closes to allow for parking, shuttle wait, and the 5-minute ride.
