P2 Terminal 2

Covered parking

2-minute walk in front of Terminal 2

P2 Terminal 2 sits directly opposite Lyon Saint-Exupéry’s Terminal 2, with about a 2-minute walk to check-in for low-cost and charter flights. It’s an open-air but covered parking structure, so your car stays under a roof while you still park on the airport grounds.

Pricing at P2 is set up for short stays, roughly a few hours to a couple of days, not week-long trips. Aggregators group it with the closest terminal-front options, and reviews mention costs ramping up quickly after several days, so long-term travelers usually look at the farther satellite car parks instead.

This lot directly serves Terminal 2, so it lines up well with easyJet, Transavia, and seasonal charter operations based there. You stay on the Terminal 2 side of the airport the whole time, with no need for shuttles or inter-terminal transfers, which can easily add 10–15 minutes elsewhere at LYS.

P2 Terminal 2 is covered, but it’s still open-air, meaning sides are exposed and ventilation is natural, not enclosed like an underground garage. That’s useful in summer heat or winter frost at Lyon, as your car is shielded from direct sun, snow, and most rain while still feeling like a surface lot.

There are signed pedestrian paths from P2 to the Terminal 2 entrance, and the walk is level and short enough that rolling a 23 kg checked bag plus a carry-on is fine. You exit the parking area, cross the access road via marked crossings, and you’re at the doors in about 2 minutes if you walk at a normal pace.

Practical tip: run your numbers: for trips longer than 3–4 days, compare P2’s daily rate with the more distant long-stay car parks at Lyon Saint-Exupéry before you lock it in.
