Motorcycle parking

P6 Motorcycle is the airport’s official two-wheeler zone

P6 Motorcycle is the dedicated bike parking area at Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport (LYS), set up for scooters and motorbikes instead of squeezing into the car parks. It’s signed as “P6 Moto” on airport maps and at the entrance, so you’re not guessing if bikes are allowed. This is the spot most airport staff use when they commute on two wheels.

This is motorcycle-only parking with daily pricing clearly posted on the P6 Motorcycle tariff board, not the car-park rates from P1–P5. You pay per 24-hour period, just like cars, but you avoid taking a full car space or risking a ticket for parking on sidewalks. It’s all above ground, so you can get in and out quickly with side cases or top boxes.

P6 Motorcycle sits within the main parking zone serving Terminals 1 and 2, so you’re riding directly into the airport campus instead of hunting around the nearby D29 or A432 exits. From P6 Motorcycle, walking time to Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 check-in is typically in the 5–10 minute range, depending on your pace and which hall you’re using. It’s close enough that riding gear over your arm isn’t a major hassle.

Paiement for P6 Motorcycle runs through the same barrier and pay-station system as the car parks, with tickets taken at entry and paid at machines before exit. You can keep your helmet and jacket locked on the bike, but bring a solid lock if you’re leaving a high-value model overnight. One practical tip: snap a quick photo of the P6 Motorcycle sign and your row when you park, so finding your bike after a late return flight into Terminal 1 or 2 is brainless.
