P5 Remote

Long-stay remote

Lowest-price on-airport option, with a shuttle ride trade-off

P5 Remote is Lyon Saint-Exupéry’s long-stay budget car park, set away from Terminals 1 and 2 and priced below the closer P0–P4 garages for multi-day trips. It’s an official airport lot, so you stay on airport property instead of gambling on off-site operators along the A432.

This is a remote long-stay area, not a walkable garage; you park, then take the dedicated shuttle to Terminals 1 and 2, which usually runs to the main terminal forecourt in around 10 minutes. Build at least 20 extra minutes into your timing on top of bag drop and security, especially at peak morning banks before 9:00.

Daily pricing is clearly listed when you book P5 Remote through the official Lyon Airport website, and it typically undercuts the standard daily rate in the closer car parks by several euros per 24 hours once you hit three or more days. For week-long holidays from LYS, that gap can add up to enough to cover a tank of fuel or a TGV ticket back into Lyon Part-Dieu.

P5 Remote is long-stay only, so it makes sense once you’re past roughly 48–72 hours; for a single overnight before a 06:00 departure from Terminal 2, the extra time on the shuttle versus P0 or P1 may not be worth the small saving. There’s no premium section or reserved “near-shuttle” row here, so don’t bank on special treatment for late arrivals.

Because P5 Remote feeds a shuttle, give yourself margin on the return too; bags on belt to car can easily hit 30–40 minutes if your flight lands with another Airbus A320 bank into Terminal 1 around 18:00. Practical tip: snap a photo of your exact row and nearest pole number before you head to the shuttle stop, or you’ll wander the long-stay lanes under tired post-flight brain.
