Gate-side jewellery in T2

Just past security in Terminal 2 at LUN, Jewellery Shop T2 sits in the main departures area serving international traffic. You pass it on the way to several of the non-remote gates, so it works as a last-minute stop rather than a detour. It’s airside, so you need a boarding pass to get here; factor that in if you’re meeting someone landside.

Stock leans to gold- and silver-tone fashion pieces, with a few higher-ticket sets locked in glass cases. Expect prices to start around the equivalent of USD 10–15 for small earrings or bracelets and climb into the low hundreds for more elaborate items. You’ll see plenty of gift-ready pieces that pack small in hand luggage, plus a few louder statement items that show up from several metres away.

Terminal 2 handles many regional and international flights during the day, so Jewellery Shop T2 keeps typical airport hours, roughly first departures to last evening flights. Staff are usually happy to bring items out of the case for closer inspection, and card payment is accepted alongside local currency kwacha. Don’t count on deep-duty-free discounts here; think standard mall pricing adjusted for airport rent.

If you’re interested in something over about USD 100 equivalent, ask for a soft pouch or extra packaging so it survives a long-haul connection. Time your visit for after you’ve cleared security but before you sit down at the gate, and budget 10–15 minutes so you can actually compare a couple of pieces instead of panic-buying the first necklace you see.
