Gate-side cables and chargers in Terminal 2

Just past security in Terminal 2, Electronics Kiosk T2 is the quick fix when your phone hits 5% and boarding is already on screen. It’s a compact stand on the main departures walkway, so you see it on the way to the gates rather than hunting around the terminal.

The kiosk stocks basics: USB charging cables, wall plugs, travel adapters, and a few pairs of wired and Bluetooth earphones for people stuck on a 3-hour Lusaka–Johannesburg run with no sound. Expect airport markups: simple cables and adapters usually land in the USD 5–15 range equivalent, with headphones above that.

Inventory aims at common problems on Zambia Airways and other regional flights: dead phones before e-boarding pass checks, no compatible plug for hotel rooms, and kids needing headphones for tablets. You won’t find big-ticket laptops or tablets here, just small electronics and accessories that fit in a personal item under the seat.

Payment is typically in Zambian kwacha, with many stalls in Terminal 2 also taking major cards like Visa and Mastercard; carry a back-up card in case the POS line drops, which happens at LUN more than once a week according to frequent flyers. Receipts are quick, so you can still make a tight 40–50 minute connection.

Tip: check your cable length before you leave; with wall plugs often far from seats at the T2 gates, a 1.5–2 meter cord makes charging during boarding calls far easier than the shortest budget options.
