Early-morning flights out of T2 mean this shop matters
Many LUN departures leave before 08:00 or after 20:00, so Convenience Store T2 in Terminal 2 ends up as the last stop for bottled water, basic snacks, and emergency toiletries once you’re airside. It sits past security in T2’s small departures area, a short walk from the international gates. Think functional rather than fancy: chips, chocolate bars, instant noodles, a few soft drinks brands, and small travel-size hygiene items.
Prices run higher than Lusaka malls; travellers report bottled drinks and packaged snacks costing noticeably more than in city supermarkets. Still, if you forgot toothpaste, deodorant, or a phone charging cable before clearing security, this is the place to fix it. Stock can be patchy late at night, especially on days with multiple long-haul flights, so don’t count on a specific brand of anything.
Regular LUN flyers usually arrive from town with their own snacks from Manda Hill or East Park and an empty 500–750 ml water bottle, then top up liquids here after security. That way they only buy what security rules force them to purchase airside, like sealed water or small-sized toiletries under 100 ml. Expect basic grab-and-go packaging, no fresh sandwiches or hot food counter.
Practical tip: if your flight from Terminal 2 boards around 06:00, buy water and snacks here as soon as you clear security; the shop can be crowded and slow when two departures close time within 30 minutes.
