CIP Lounge

T1

CIP at LIS T1 Non-Schengen is the “generic VIP” lounge

At Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport, airlines and handlers keep calling lots of things “CIP”, but for you it means a standard contract lounge in Terminal 1’s Non-Schengen area. This is the lounge most long-haul and non-Schengen premium passengers see after passport control in T1.

Once you clear passport control in T1 and walk toward the Non-Schengen gates, signage points you toward the CIP Lounge used by several airlines plus some Priority Pass and similar cards. It sits airside in the Non-Schengen zone, so you need a boarding pass for a flight outside the Schengen area to get in.

The space runs more like a classic contract lounge than a branded flagship: think rows of standard armchairs, low tables, and some high-top seating rather than private suites. Power outlets typically sit between seats in shared units, so bring a 2‑port charger if you carry both phone and laptop.

Food service follows the usual European lounge template: a cold buffet with a few hot items at peak long‑haul banks. Expect sandwiches, pastries, and simple snacks more than full meals; pricing is bundled into your access (business class ticket, status, or paid lounge program) rather than pay-per-plate once inside.

Drinks come from a self-serve counter with coffee machines, soft drinks, and basic alcohol. Think Portuguese wine, a few spirits, and standard beers instead of a deep bar list. If you care about a specific Douro or Alentejo label, pick up a bottle in duty free near T1 Non-Schengen before heading into the lounge.

Showers may be limited or reserved for certain airline guests at peak times, especially around transatlantic departures to hubs like JFK or GRU from the Non-Schengen pier. If you absolutely need a rinse, ask at the desk as soon as you enter instead of waiting until boarding is called for your gate.

Build a 15–20 minute buffer to get from CIP to some of the farther Non-Schengen gates in T1, especially during the late afternoon long‑haul wave. Practical move: grab a seat near the monitors inside the lounge so you spot any last‑minute gate change without relying on a boarding call.
