Valet

Valet parking at LIH isn’t actually a thing at the terminal

LIH posts standard airport parking, but there’s no working valet stand next to the terminal and no official $30.00 per day valet option on the on‑airport lots. If a website or third‑party app lists “Valet Parking” at Lihue Airport at a daily rate, treat it as placeholder data, not something you can actually pull up to and hand over keys.

Most travelers flying out of Lihue end up in the main public lot directly beside the terminal instead of any valet lane. That lot charges a posted daily max that’s separate from the $30.00 figure you sometimes see attached to “Valet Parking” and operates as standard self‑parking with ticketed entry. You park, walk a few minutes to the terminal, and keep your own keys.

Resort valet on Kauai is real, just not at LIH’s front door. Many beachfront hotels on the island quote overnight valet rates that can land around or above $30.00 per day, but that service is at the hotel driveway, not at the airport terminal. Don’t mix those numbers up when you budget ground costs around your LIH flight.

If you absolutely need handoff service at the curb, your best bet is arranging a private car or shuttle pickup at the terminal’s departures level instead of banking on an official on‑site valet option. Call ahead, confirm times against your flight, and plan on using the regular self‑parking lot if that car service falls through at the last minute.
