Flat whites and fast caffeine in LHR T2

This Caffè Nero sits in Terminal 2 at Heathrow, post-security, and plays the classic airport role: quick espresso, a pastry, and you’re back at the gate. It’s a standard Nero setup, so expect the usual espresso drinks, drip coffee, and a counter of pre-made sandwiches rather than table service or a long menu.

As a takeout-focused coffeehouse in T2, it works best if you just need a latte and a snack before boarding a short-haul flight on a Star Alliance carrier. You’ll see the full Nero drink lineup: espresso, americanos, cappuccinos, flat whites, plus syrups if you want something sweeter. Food skews to pre-packed panini, croissants, and cakes, so think “fuel” more than “sit-down meal.”

Prices at airport Caffè Nero locations in London usually run a bit higher than high-street branches; expect a basic coffee to land in the £3–4 range and a sandwich or panini pushing £5–7. Nothing here is going to ruin your travel budget, but it’s noticeably more than the Nero you might pass on the Piccadilly line. No table service, so you order, wait at the counter, and move on.

Because this is inside Terminal 2’s secure area, it mainly serves Star Alliance traffic: think Lufthansa, Swiss, United, Air Canada, and ANA passengers grabbing caffeine on the way to gates in the T2A and T2B concourses. It’s a useful backup when the main sit-down spots near your gate have queues stretching 15–20 minutes deep.

Tip: grab your coffee here before walking out to the satellite gates in T2B; options thin out as you get closer to the far end, and you don’t want to be sprinting back for a second espresso 10 minutes before boarding.
